Want to get involved in assuring your children are being taught health standards that you agree with? You can help review the current proposed Texas Health Education Textbooks from the comfort of home.
The Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) will be considering for adoption new Health Ed Textbooks based upon the newly adopted Health Ed Texas curriculum standards. (TEKS) The SBOE has established an easy, transparent process for the public to get involved by placing textbooks that are being considered online for the public to read, critique and make comments.
Feedback can be provided for factual error or general comment. Deadline for submissions is 5:00 pm, Friday, November 1, 2021 and will be presented to the SBOE at its November meeting and posted to the TEA website. Any comments received after the deadline will be forwarded to the SBOE but not posted publicly.
