Wake up Church. Arise and Shine.

I had a dream last night . . .

It was dark, in the middle of the night. I had awakened to go check on a child sleeping in another room. I became aware that there was a threat from downstairs . . . someone trying to enter the home. At the same time, I heard a male family member coming up the stairs, whispering, checking to see if we were ok. I expected him to grab some sort of weapon and confront the intruder. Instead, he came up the stairs and barricaded himself and us behind a closed door.

I was afraid. I knew that we were not safe. The intruder would come for us eventually. The child was not protected.

Then I woke up.

This is what I believe the dream meant . . .

During the current ONSLAUGHT of evil, the church is hiding. Barricading herself behind the four walls of a building, afraid to speak truth, hoping to survive the night. Deceived into believing her silence will protect her.

But God has called us to be salt and light. To put on the full armor of God. To be watchmen sounding the alarm. And He has promised that we will win!

Wake up church! Wake from your slumber!!! Put on the full armor of God. Take up your position on the wall and be a watchman to defend against the enemy. An enemy that is coming for the Church and more specifically, the next generation.

“But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood’” (Ezekiel 33:5).

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5:20

Arise and Shine . . .

“The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.” Matthew 4:16

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. For behold, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear over you.” Isaiah 60:1-2

“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Revelation 12:11
